The Rural Training Centre Team

The Rural Training Centre offers a range of courses and services. Specialist trainers, experts in their field, are brought in to run many of the training courses.

The permanent staff members responsible for the day to day running of the centre are:

Richard Harvey
Director

Richard Harvey has farmed in Owston for 30 years at Manor Farm, a 310 acre mixed holding which acts as a demonstration farm for good environmental and farming practices. Richard is a director of The Rural Training Centre as well as Manor Farm Feeds and Rural Energy which are also based on the site. For services to agriculture in the East Midlands, Richard received an MBE in the 2005 New Years Honours List.
Andrew Pennill

Andrew is a teacher, an agricultural science graduate and a former crop production specialist. Andrew is responsible for the overall management of the training centre as well as being the main instructor for IT topics.
